St. Ambrose is a Saint, one of the Fathers and Doctor of the Catholic Church. If you are a non-Catholic Christian and would like to know "exactly" what and the Catholic Church teaches what is does read the Catechism of the Catholic Church. If you want to know why the Catholic Church is the very first true and only Christian Church - read the early Church Fathers and Doctors of the Catholic Church, such as, St Ignatius of Antioch, St Polycarp of Smyrna, St. Justin Martyr, St. Irenaeus, Tertullian, St. Hippolytus of Rome, St. Clement of Alexandria, Origen, St. Cyprian of Carthage, St. Dionysius the Great of Alexandria, St. Gregory the Miracle Worker, St. Methodius of Philippi, St Ephraim, St. Athanasius, St Cyril of Jerusalem, St. Hilary of Poitiers, St. Gregory of Elvira and later on St Augustine, St. Alphonsus de Liguori, St Catherine of Sienna and many others too numerous to mention here. If you are a Catholic, reading anything by Fathers and Doctors of the Church, will educate you on what you are supposed to believe and why. I highly recommend reading anything by St. Ambrose.
